Publish a release
with a clear plan.

BEFORE OPENING THE FORM

Prepare the file and release details.

• Choose an MP3 you control or have permission to offer to members, including the underlying music. Keep permission records outside room messages.
• Play the selected file locally. Check that it is the intended version, starts correctly and finishes without cutting off.
• Use a genuine MP3 no larger than 20 MB. Changing a file’s extension does not convert the audio format.
• Write the release title, up to 100 characters, and an optional description, up to 600 characters.
• Describe the recording accurately: its version or stage, useful listening context and any feedback you would like. Do not promise an event or next release that is not arranged.

Keep a separate copy of the original audio and text. The current form publishes immediately; it has no saved-draft or scheduled-release step.

CHOOSE WHO CAN LISTEN

Set the minimum membership tier.

The verified project owner can manage and play every published release. Member access depends on the linked wallet’s current eligible balance. Listening access does not grant permission to redistribute the recording.

USE THE OWNER CONTROLS

Upload when you are ready to publish.

1. Open Members, sign in with ChatGPT and verify the founder wallet shown in the project records.
2. When the page says Owner verified, scroll to Manage the community.
3. Fill in Release title, About this release and Minimum tier. Select the MP3 file.
4. Check the title, selected file and tier. Confirm the music-permission checkbox only if its statement is true.
5. Select Upload and publish once. Wait for the confirmation: Published. Eligible members can listen now.

After an interruption or an uncertain upload result, refresh Members and check the release list before uploading again. This helps avoid creating a duplicate release.

CHECK AND MAINTAIN THE RELEASE

Review it in the vault.

Confirm the title, description and tier badge. Play the beginning and a later part of the recording. Owner playback confirms the uploaded file can be heard; the owner has access to all tiers, so this alone does not test a lower-tier member’s eligibility.

If the file or details are wrong, use Unpublish in the release list. The current controls do not edit a published file, title, description or tier. Prepare a corrected release, upload it and check it before leaving the incorrect version unpublished.

Unpublish stops new playback requests; it does not delete the stored file or recall audio already heard or copied. Publish restores the same release’s access. When inviting discussion, describe only the recording you have actually published.
